¿Cómo jugar contra equipos exasperantes?

En mi época joven existía una selección, la de Rumanía, que era tan exasperante como este Atlético. Eran once espartanos, que vestían como curiosamente hoy el Atlético, y sin una sola sonrisa, pocos saludos y, si había alguno, eran para tu madre o tu padre.

Evidentemente, este Atlético es inmensamente mejor a aquella selección militar, mejora el trabajo de aquella, el diseño táctico, ¡la calidad!, incluso la disciplina (cosa difícil, porque era la Rumania de la Securitate de Ceaucescu).

En fin, es admirable cómo tapan los espacios, la solidaridad entre ellos, el ahogo… y el puntito de que, cuando se tiran hacia adelante, tienen un genio de la lámpara.

Son el equipo con la identidad de su entrenador.

Por eso, aunque no me ha gustado el partido del Liverpool, en nada parecido al maravilloso de Bayern, valoro al menos el empate. Porque hay que darle muy fuerte al pico y la pala para empatar a este Atlético.

Cierto que es un partido de cambios, pretemporada etc.

Pero sí me da miedo una cosa, lo difícil que es para los Reds jugar contra equipos que se cierran atrás, que te tapan los espacios y provocan que falles, te desesperes y hasta te suicides en un pase precipitado.

Ya, a todos les es difícil. Ok. Pero…

El Liverpool lleva años sin ese plan B para partidos exasperantes, en mi opinión.
Y sin un abrelatas B, más allá de Coutinho, y eso cuando no se le colocan tres guardianes que lo secan.
Ese sigue siendo nuestro problema, los partidos lentos.
Porque con espacios, velocidad y contra equipos que dejan jugar… ¡Señores! Somos MUY buenos.

No soy entrenador, no soy un estudioso de tácticas, pero hoy he vuelto a tener algo claro: No podemos prescindir de Cou… y convendría tener un plan B, un Boutinho.

El Real Madrid de baloncesto de hace años tenía un jugador, Carmelo Cabrera, que salía cuando el partido se iba perdiendo y se había perdido el norte, la iniciativa, la… y salía porque lo revolucionaba todo, conseguía cambiar el partido con su velocidad, un toque de locura, de provocación y con una enorme motivación contagiosa.

Ahí está el trabajo de Klopp, encontrar soluciones para partidos lentos.
Porque los rápidos… los bordamos.

P.D. Advierto, no he visto el partido entero, solo a ratos, pero creo que mi comentario vale perfectamente, porque este partido llevo viéndolo al LFC muchas veces durante los últimos años.

The renewal process for Membership of the official LFC branch began some time ago. The club has been informing members that renewal was automatic. Please check your bank statements and emails to see if you have been charged by LFC.

Please remember that In order to be eligible to go to Anfield with Madrid reds it is vitally important to have one of the following two types of Membership cards:

* Membership Light: £26,99  (€30.44 subject to variations in currency*)

PLEASE NOTE: Those wishing to apply for membership for the first time you have to highlight the fact that you belong to the Madrid reds branch each and every time you request tickets through the branch. As such, once you have your membership you must link it to the branch through the Friends and Family system. In order to do this correctly please contact Simon H by email and he will talk you through the process.

3-  Make the payment. In the subject line of the bank transfer please add

Who can become a member of Madrid Reds?

Obviously anybody that comes to see the games at the Triskel Tavern can become a member and what´s more we´d be delighted to welcome you. However, one of the main reasons for becoming a member is that Madrid Reds offers you the chance to belong to a community, a family as well as having the opportunity to go to Anfield through the branch.

In order to this you must be a Madrid Reds member and have either a “Light” or “full” LFC membership. (As mentioned in the first section the International membership is not accepted)

When and How?

Premier league fixtures will be released on June 14th so from this point onwards we will look at our options.

In July and November we will ask the branch which games they would like to attend.

The club will then confirm if we are succesful or not and how many tickets we will be allocated.

The club has not confirmed if this year will see any changes but last year we had the right to choose between:

- 6 matches

- 3 in the first half of the season and 3 in the second.

(We had 14 tickets for each match.)

The club asks us to choose the games we want to attend in the first half of the season in july and in November for games in the second half of the season.

This year, and in order to avoid what happened last year, the commitee will have the final say on the games that we will attend. We have decided this because the club has stopped us from requesting tickets for matches against the same teams year on year. Additionally, matchdays can be changed from Saturday to Sunday and, with the various petitions we receive from members, we felt it best proceed this way given our experience over the last ten years at Madrid Reds.

Please remember that, as Membership holders, you are free to request tickets individually, independently of the branch, when they go on sale.

We also ask that once we know the matches that we have been allocated tickets that members request tickets responsibly knowing full well that they will able able to travel to Anfield on the specified date. Usually we have lots of requests for tickets and then later people drop out or decline their tickets (at the last minute). This causes a great deal of problems for the branch not only financially but also in terms of the way the club views our commitment to ticket allocation and our other requests.

Match tickets are paid separately but the branch administers this receiving the money in the aforementioned account. LFC usually contact us for payment 8 weeks before the game.

This year we expect ticket prices to vary between €45-70.

On the vast majority of occasions we have been given tickets all together on the Kop.

However, this is not always the case and we have been given tickets in every nook and crany of Anfield over the last 10 years.

We pay the same as every other fan that goes to the stadium unlike internet ticketing agencies who hike up the prices.

Please note that the Branch only has the right to a Premier league ticket allocation.

We don’t have tickets for Cup or European matches with no exceptions. 

However, having an LFC membership allows you to request cup matches individually.

Every year we try to have an official Madrid Reds branch trip usually in the first half of the season (September/October) in order to avoid problems with television rescheduling.

The branch only adminsters the ticketing operation. We do not reserve flights or hotels.

These are to be reserved individually by each person who requests a ticket.

*  Every season each branch member receives a gift. Up to now we have had everything from scarves,T-shirts, Polo shirts, key-rings, breakfast glasses and pint glasses. We will ask you about your preferences in terms of this gift.

* Any remaining money in the account at the end of the season goes towards the end of season party, towards the cost of making Branch banners and towards anything that management consider necessary towards the running of the organization. A donation to the LFC foundation would also be considered if this was approved.

  

* Another aspect of membership of the branch that we are looking into is the increased participation in the LFC Foundation events.

Last season (16/17) we were able to donate €600 to the foundation something that previously had never been done before.

We think that it would be really good to repeat initiatives in the Madrid community and continue to support local NGOs, food banks (a great success for us with Aaqua), Christmas presents for children, blood donations and raffles etc.

Amongst many other things one of our initiatives is to try and bring an explayer here for Sportsman’s evening or a Q&A session.

 We are currently working on this tirelessly and we have some serious possibilities.

As a branch we all need to think of initiatives we can get involved in: social, sporting etc.

We are open to you contributing articles on the web and on Facebook etc.

Throughout the year there will be a small stand of Branch products for sale in the Triskel.

El proceso de renovación de la Membership del LFC ha comenzado hace tiempo, el Club ha estado informando de que procedía a su renovación automática. Mirad vuestra c/c y/o correo electrónico por si hay un email o un cargo del LFC.

Recordad que, para tener derecho a ir a Anfield con Madrid Reds, tenéis que haceros imprescindiblemente, una de estas dos tarjetas Membership en la Web del LFC.

A elegir:

* Membership Light, con un coste de 26,99Libras (30,84€, aprox.). Ojo con el cambio de la Libra

O…

* Full Membership, con un coste de 39,99Libras (45,70€, aproximadamente).

• NO NOS VALE LA INTERNATIONAL

IMPORTANTE: Los que os hagáis la Membership por primera vez, tenéis que apuntar                   que pertenecéis al branch Madrid Reds. Eso siempre que luego vayáis a solicitar entradas a través del branch. En ese caso, una vez que hayáis sacado la Membership, es imprescindible vincularla al branch a través del sistema de Friends and Family. ¡Eso sí! Queremos de alguna manera incentivar el “pronto pago”, y si se hace antes del                          30 septiembre, lo rebajamos a 18€.

¿Cómo pagar la cuota Madrid Reds?

1º. – Mándanos un email a info@madridreds.com y te pasaremos un número de C/C.

No comunicaros por Facebook, solo el email es válido.

2º.  Os responderemos con el número de la cuenta.

  

3º.-  Luego ingresáis. Ojo que hay que poner en el “asunto” del Banco: CUOTA BRANCH 2017/18 DE xxxVUESTRONOMBRE.

¿A qué da derecho pertenecer a Madrid Reds?

* Lógicamente, a Triskel Tavern puede venir cualquiera a ver el partido con nosotros, es más, estamos encantados. Pero otra cosa, la principal, es que ser Madrid Reds os invita a pertenecer a una comunidad, a una familia. Evidentemente está la posibilidad de asistir a Anfield que, gestionada a través del Branch Madrid Reds, te asegura la posibilidad de asistir al estadio. Para ello es imprescindible, ADEMAS DE SER MIEMBRO DE MADRID REDS, tener la Membership del LFC, bien la Light o la Full, no vale la International. (VER APARTADO 1.1 DE MIEMBROS ACTUALES, ARRIBA)

¿Cómo y cuándo?

El calendario de la Premier se sortea el 14 junio. Ahí sabremos qué opciones tenemos.

En el mes de julio y en el de noviembre, se preguntará al branch desde LFC a qué partidos se quiere asistir. Luego contestarán si se nos conceden o no, cuántas entradas, y otras opciones.

El club aún no nos ha comunicado cómo será este año. El año pasado tuvimos derecho a elegir:

- 6 partidos

- 3 en primera vuelta y 3 en segunda.

- 14 entradas para cada partido.

Se nos solicita esa petición en julio para partidos que se jueguen antes del 31 de diciembre y en noviembre para la segunda vuelta.

Este año, y para evitar lo que ocurrió la pasada temporada, el Comité elegirá a qué partidos queremos ir. Hemos decidido proceder así debido a que el club nos prohíbe repetir peticiones para determinados equipos en años sucesivos, también porque habrá partidos en los que es posible que se hagan cambios de jugar el sábado a domingo y, además, por la viabilidad de las peticiones, dada la experiencia de estos 10 años de Madrid Reds.

Recordad lo que os hemos comentado antes, como poseedores de la Membership, podéis solicitar entradas a título individual cuando se abra la ventana de venta.

Pedimos también que, una vez sepamos qué partidos nos conceden, la petición de los socios se haga de modo responsable, es decir, con un alto porcentaje de posibilidades de asistencia a Anfield, porque suele ocurrir que mucha gente pide y posteriormente renuncia a la entrada (y lo peor, a última hora). Esto causa muchos problemas, además de perjudicar económicamente la viabilidad de la peña, también la opinión que el club tiene sobre nuestro compromiso en las solicitudes y nuestras opciones de llevar a cabo acciones de otro tipo.

Las entradas para cada partido se pagan aparte, las gestionamos a través de branch ingresando el dinero en esa cuenta a la que se hace referencia arriba. LFC suele ponerse en contacto con nosotros unas 8 semanas antes para el pago del ticket. Este año hemos calculado que hubo un precio para los partidos que oscilaba entre 45-70 Euros ticket.

¡La mayoría de las veces nos mandaron al Kop todos juntitos! No es siempre así, hemos cubierto todos los ángulos de Anfield en 10 años.

Pagamos lo mismo que cualquier otra persona que acuda al estadio, no como hacen las agencias de viajes o lo que podáis encontrar en Internet que cargan un plus.

Importante, el Branch sólo tiene derecho a asistir a partidos de Premier. No tenemos entradas para las Copas, ni Europa en ningún caso. 

Sin embargo, por ser miembro del LFC (tener la Membership), se pueden solicitar entradas para las copas a título individual.

Cada año se hace (se intenta) hacer un VIAJE OFICIAL del Branch Madrid Reds, suele hacerse en primera vuelta, septiembre/octubre, para evitar posteriores líos de calendario.

El branch solo gestiona las entradas. No gestiona vuelos ni hoteles. Eso lo hace cada uno por su cuenta. Otra cosa es que, por la experiencia, se aconseje convenientemente.

* También hacemos un regalo/recuerdo de cada temporada. Hasta el momento hemos tenido bufandas, camiseta, polo, llavero, jarra de desayuno y jarra de cerveza. Se os preguntará sobre el tema.

* El dinero sobrante se destina, o bien a hacer una fiesta anual, o a otras cuestiones de la peña (confección de banners, etc.) que la directiva considere convenientes para la organización.

O también a una donación a la Fundación si así fuera aprobado.

  

* Otro punto que estamos estudiando es el de una participación del branch en actos de la Fundación Liverpool. La temporada pasada, 16/17, hemos donado más de 600 €, labor esta que nunca habíamos hecho.

Hemos pensado que estaría bien repetir iniciativas en la Comunidad de Madrid, apoyando a ONG locales en nombre del LFC, tipo banco de alimentos (fue todo un éxito la que hicimos con Aaqua), bancos de ropa, regalos a niños en navidad, donación de sangre, sorteos, etc.

- Entre otras cosas, una de las iniciativas es traer puntualmente a algún exjugador para un encuentro con él, un Sportmen´s evening. Se está trabajando denodadamente en ello y hay serias posibilidades.

- Hay que pensar ENTRE TODOS en iniciativas de cualquier tipo, sociales, deportivas etc. Estamos abiertos a que escribáis artículos en la Web, Facebook etc.

- Se va a colocar durante el año un pequeño stand en Triskel con los productos que tiene el Branch en stock para su venta.

MADRID REDS: End of Season Festivities Reminder & Notification of Committee Changes

Please note that to celebrate the end of the 2016/17 season, we are planning to meet for some drinks and food before the West Ham match (k.o. 15:15) on Sunday, from 13:30 at LA SIDRERÍA, Casa Hortensia, C/ Farmacia, 2 - 3rd Floor, 28004 Madrid (Metro: Tribunal/Chueca). There will also be some continued celebrations after the match at the Triskel, win, lose or draw. We look forward to seeing you.

At a recent Committee Meeting of the Madrid Reds it was agreed that we would refresh the leadership of the branch. After 10 years of happy service, Neil T., will be handing over the role of President to Jackie Willcox-Tomlinson who, with her excellent organisational skills and enthusiasm, will know how to fill the role with the same energy that Neil did, whilst Pax will become Secretary of the branch, taking over from Amador (Lover). Simon will continue in his role as Treasurer, whilst Amador and Neil will continue on the committee, helping when needed. Neil and the committee would like to wish Jackie and Pax all the best in their new roles. YNWA

MADRID REDS: Recordatorio del fiesta fin de temporada y notificación de unos cambios en el comité

Tenga en cuenta que para celebrar el fin de la temporada 2016/17, tenemos previsto reunirnos para tomar unas cañas y tapas antes del partido del West Ham (k.o. 15:15) el domingo, a partir de las 13:30 en LA SIDRERÍA, Casa Hortensia, C/ Farmacia, 2 - 3ª Planta, 28004 Madrid (Metro: Tribunal/Chueca). Habrá también algunas celebraciones continuadas después del partido en el Triskel, ganemos, perdamos o empatemos. Esperamos verte.

En una reciente reunión del Comité de la Peña Madrid Reds, decidimos renovar la dirección de la misma. Después de 10 años de feliz servicio al frente de Madrid Reds, Neil T., transfiere el papel de Presidenta a Jackie Willcox-Tomlinson que, con su excelente capacidad de organización y entusiasmo, sabrá llevar este cargo con la misma ilusión que Neil lo hizo, mientras que Pax será el nuevo Secretario de la peña sustituyendo a Amador (Lover). Simon continuará en su papel de tesorero, y tanto Neil como Amador se mantendrán en el comité para ayudar cuando sea necesario. Neil y el comité quisieran desear a Jackie y a Pax todo lo mejor en sus nuevos puestos. YNWA
